Stormy JB MickeyD in SLC games - COOL

Well my oldest son spent the night last night at my parents home in Provo. He will be camp tonight and we will pick him up tomorrow. I hope he has a blast. I want to squeeze out of work early tomorrow but it looks like the log-jam is going to break free just in time. Murphy's Law.

I went surfing today.

One of the photoblog I frequent posted another 'Stormy Sea' picture today.

I feel like this sometimes. I can see the trouble rolling in, it is inevitable. I just have to wait until it hits and hope I miss the worst of the storm.
------------

I love Jack Black. One night several years ago I was watching Conan O'Brien and 'Tenacious D' was the musical guest.

I really like the songs they played on the show. I googled them the next day and have been a fan ever since. Be warned most of their songs are not family friendly, but I have managed to assemble mp3s and clips of them playing versions of their songs that are cleaned up a little.

JB has a new movie out called 'Nacho Libre'.

It is written and directed but the guy who did 'Napoleon Dynamite'. [No, I haven't seen Nacho yet.]

Now there is a game on the Internet inspired by the movie.

You can check it out here.

I came across this photo site, called 'India Nature Watch', that allows people to post pictures taken in India.

[This is Mt Nanda Devi.]

"India Nature Watch is a non-commercial website that focuses on sharing the joy that nature has on offer. We welcome all nature lovers to join us in sharing that joy."

I mildly recommend that you take a look because you really have to dig around to find the good pix.

I found this unique ad for McDonalds.

It uses the golden arches as a sundial. Am I the only one that notices ads like this and thinks they are cool? If you want my money, be clever and I will remember, don't just bury me in a mound of paper or assault my senses at every turn.

A new study, by 'Sperlings Best Places', of the 250,000 theft complaints to the Federal Trade Commission  last year names Salt Lake City as one of the 'Top 10 Cities to Have Your Identity Stolen'.

The Ten most risky cities for identity theft are as follows:
    1) San Francisco
    2) Seattle
    3) Denver
    4) San Jose
    5) San Diego
    6) Atlanta
    7) Salt Lake City
    8) Las Vegas
    9) Sacramento
    10) Phoenix

My sister reads my blog.

This is a cool picture from 'Astronomy Picture of the Day'.

"Pictured above is our Sun in three colors of ultraviolet light.  Since only active regions emit significant amounts of energetic ultraviolet light, most of the Sun appears dark. The colorful portions glow spectacularly, pinpointing the Sun's hottest and most violent regions."

I guess I should say this is a hot picture as opposed to a cool one.

I found another cool listing in my travels today.

It lists every job Homer Simpson has had it also includes a reference to the corresponding episode. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

There is a really cool game that has been floating around the Internet for the last couple of years called 'Samorost'.

It takes place is a cool universe. As you click things there is a reaction and the game progresses. It you haven't played it yet you have been missing out.

Now there is a new game out very similar to Samorost called 'Wogger'.

Although this game is not as easy to figure out as its predecessor and the graphics are not as unique, I think you will enjoy figuring this one out too.

Lastly, there were a series of video's that came out earlier this year about some Rube Goldberg type inventions from somewhere is Asia. Today I came across one I don't think I have seen before. Thought I would share.

That's all for today.

[How many times do I have to say 'cool'? Leave a comment with the total count. While you're at it throw in another word I can use in tomorrows blog.]
