Dancing fire water

I'm not sure what happened yesterday. I had material to blog about but nothing jumped out at me.

Last night we went on a 'service project scavenger hunt'. We broke up into four groups. Our group was assigned to help do yard work at a neighbors house. We ended up filling up the back of my truck with branches and grass. It was a lot of fun but one of the bushes had a nasty bite. When I got in the shower my arms were sore all over.

I have been avidly watching the World Cup for the past few weeks. This is my first exposure to the cup. I really wished that the US had done better than they did. Oh well, real football is just around the corner.

I went surfing today....

I came across this image of the Xuankong Monastery in China. It is built upon a perch in a canyon wall.

The monastery dates back over 1400 years. "The pavilions 'hang' partially because long timber poles support them from underneath (see photo). However, the greatest structural support comes from unseen rock ledges upon which parts of the pavilions sit."

I found a cool accessory for my car for the commute. It is called a Driv-emocion. You install it in the back window of your car. Then you can send emocon message to the person behind you.

Sweet!!

There have been many times in my life I would have killed for a water balloon. Pranks aside, this is a cool tool to have in your arsenal.

Agua-gami fun!!!!

I thought this images of a 'Circumhorizontal Arc' was beautiful.

Made from genuine Utah smog.

Congratulations to all of the recent Graduates. It is a little discomforting that you will be ruling the earth soon.

Last but not least -- This Matt has done what few others in the world have. I hope to make it to some of these places. I promise I won't be dancing though.
