Brando Returns Mini Potatoo

Today flew past so fast I didn't have time to blog. That's a weird sentence I never thought I'd say. [Especially since no one is reading this blog]

But I still had time to go surfing today....

I received a 'Darth Tater' for Christmas last year. I had been ogling one since I first saw them on the Internet. He has a position of prominence in my office, located next to the pictures of my wife, children, father and grandfather. Not that I value him as much as my family but people seem to ask more about him than they do my family.

Anyway....

Today I saw another Star Tuber--'Artoo Potatoo'.

This is the third spud of the Hasbro family ['Spud Trooper,' 'Darth Tater'].

This little guy includes a transparent Princess Tater and extendable arm.

My inner child wants one. NOW!!!!

I saw another great example of outdoor advertising.

This Mini is located on a Subway entrance. It makes it appear that people are entering and exiting the car, an obvious comparison to the circus clown cars. To me these ads are memorable and not intrusive. As advertising becomes more and more in your face I hope they can remain inventive and interesting.

I had read a while ago about a cameo in the new Superman movie from Marlon Brando. In the movies from the early 80's Brando played Clark's unearthly father. While editing the movie they cut out some of Brando's performance. With the use of computer technology they are adding these clips into the new movie. This video shows some of the steps they are using to make this happen.

I have been an official Member of the National Geographic Society for many years. My father subscribed to the magazine while I was growing up and I am now a subscriber. Monday I was looking through my newest copy and came across this picture of a Rattlesnake in the sand.

This is one of my most favorite pictures in recent memory. National Geographic make some of their images available for desktops. This is one of them. Were it not for the man on the moon this would be on my desktop. I have posted the full size image in my Myspace pics folder.

This is another clip from You Tube. It stands on its own.

You have to like this kid.
