A Day in the Life

Please bear with me while the Holiday rush is falling on me. On Friday I had put my post together and myspace zapped it. I was rushing to get it posted and ran out of time. I apologize. I never really intended to blog every day. But I want to keep things current and interesting. I also use this blog to remember where I saw things on the Internet. This post will keep a Friday date but because of time will probably be the only thing I post today.

The weather is turning cold, I'm going to need a body suit to surf....
---------------------

After the whole 'voting Pluto off the island thing' This article called '16 Probable Planets Found in Milky Way' interested me.

Are they really planets? Will it end up there are really only 15? Oh well, earth like planets are cool!
-----------------

Did you see this article about 'Space debris punched hole in shuttle'?

Apparently it did not cause enough damage that the crewman noticed, but that's kind of like those drive-by shootings in Ogden, too close for comfort.
----------------

I'm not sure I have ever mentioned the 'Deceptive photoblog' but I visit there everyday. This is one of those blogs that posts a new picture everyday.

Today he posted this great pic. [I think I have a thing for pictures of boats].
----------------

I have mentioned that every now and again when I see something on the Internet that I know my sister or brother would love. This happened to me when I came across 'The photo gallery of Chucks'.

I admit the reason I checked this out is because I hoped I could find something that would make my brother say 'cool'. I stayed because, although I have not worn chucks since high school, I got all caught up in the coolness of this site.

For instance, there is a gallery of photos and links about movies that have featured characters wearing Chucks.

[Wayne's World]

[Back to the Future]

[The Outsiders]

[Stand By Me]

These are all some of my most favorite movies of all time. They also have TV characters as well as a gallery of Chucks, including 'one of a kind' varieties. [I hope my brother enjoys this link as much as I did.]
----------------

I saw another picture I liked from the 'Cloud Appreciation Society'.

This photo was taken by Matt Bellar on a Caribbean cruise... On the way back from Cozumel, Gulf of Mexico

I need to plan a trip like this with my wife. [But not for the clouds!]
----------------

I'm not sure if I have blogged about Lego's before. Could it be that in 75 blogs I have never mentioned that I like Lego's? Hmmmm? Anyhow, I found this cool Lego accessory that spiked my geekness scale, or was it nerd factor five? Which ever it may have been, I would buy this 'Lego Ice Tray' just so I could make Lego's and then organize them in the freezer!!!!!

[Cool]
-----------------

I found a game that captured my attention while I was burning 70 CD's on my laptop and computer for work.

'Snake Classic' is an easy game to understand but hard to walk away from. I even like how you can choose your own skins

This little guy gets high marks from me.
-----------------

If snakes aren't you style you may like 'Red'. [Although I like this game don't think it means I like the color RED!!!]

Save the world!

You have to check out this 'Grand Canyon Skywalk' they are currently constructing.

The Glass Bridge Construction of the Skywalk began March of 2004 and is estimated to be completed by 4th quarter of 2006.

Upon completion, the Glass Bridge will be suspended 4,000 feet above the Colorado River on the very edge of the Grand Canyon. On May 2005, the final test was conducted and the structure passed engineering requirements by 400 percent, enabling it to withstand the weight of 71 fully loaded Boeing 747 airplanes (more that 71 million pounds). The bridge will be able to sustain winds in excess of 100 miles per hour from 8 different directions, as well as an 8.0 magnitude earthquake within 50 miles. More than one million pounds of steel will go into the construction of the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

WOW!!!
---------------------

He is another game I came across today. I have to admit that 'Sling' is unlike any game I have ever played.

You have to play it to understand it!
--------------------

I also came across a a site called 'The Shape of Music'. I admit again that I have never seem anything like it.

[imagine - John Lennon]

[One - U2]

[Back in Black - AC/DC]

[A Day in the Life - The Beatles]

I guess I like songs with arches. I also couldn't believe that 'One' was the 'messiest' song of the bunch.
---------------------

That's it for today. Let me know what you think.
