Don't just stand there!!

This is blog #70 and I have never had more problems posting than on Friday. I ended up posting four versions of Thursdays blog. I have been duel blogging for some time on Blogger. but it the problems keep happening here I am going to end the myspace frustrations. Sadly there are some features I like about myspace that 'real' bloggers don't use or I would have already jumped.

Last night the Cougars pounced on the TCU horned frogs. It was a happy evening. I picked the cougars to win but my inner Homer was a little shocked that they actually did. Now I hope that Boise State has a great game!!!! Then my weekend will really be great.

There were calm seas today but I can see clouds off on the horizon, surfs up...

I have come across this picture twice this week it is called 'Adventurous visions'. I like the sliding effect of the design, but the Dr. Who reference add to the coolness factor.

Few New Yorkers will be familiar with the TARDIS, the time traveling vehicle that whisks the time lord Doctor Who through the centuries to save civilization from evil aliens. Yet TARDIS is the inspiration for an extraordinary new building on Spring Street in SoHo. The inside of the new Thomas Heatherwick designed Longchamps store, Spring Street, New York.

As a follow up to the post last week about the '100 BEST Horror Movies'  I would like to post the '10 Most Haunting Movie Moments for Halloween'. I'm not sure what this blog is but this article was fun to read.

Here is the list:

1. The Ring: Samara crawls out of the television
2. Hannibal: Hannibal Lecter dines on Ray Liotta's brain
3. The Exorcist: Regan's upside-down spider walk down the stairs
4. Blair Witch Project: The final chase through the abandoned house
5. Alien: The birth of the alien baby out of John Hurt's chest
6. The Exorcist: Regan's head spinning around backwards
7. A Nightmare on Elm Street: An invisible Freddy Krueger drags his victim across the ceiling
8. Poltergeist: Carol Anne announces "They're here!" in front of a static TV
9. The Shining: Danny encounters the murdered twins
10. Seven: The "Sloth" corpse rises up

Participants in a Halloween survey by Blockbuster said that the scene in the film The Ring in which the dead Samara crawls out of the television haunts them more than any other, although scenes from Hannibal, The Exorcist and The Blair Witch Project come close behind.

Close to 60 percent of those surveyed reported being unable to get a scary image out of their mind after watching a horror film. It's easy to see why, with a feast of frightening films to see that include Hannibal Lecter dining on Ray Liotta's brains while he's still alive in Hannibal.

My only solace with this article is that the people who took the surveys were mainly teenagers and young adults. This has to be why the movie titles are newer. I have seen the scene from 'The Ring' in the ads and I admit it is spine chilling, but does it compare to seeing Norman Bates' Mother through the shower curtain or at the top of the stairs? [If you don't know what I'm talking about you probably answered the Blockbuster survey!]

Check out this great image called 'When the night Falls on the City'.

Do you care?

Clever but does it mean what it says? [don't get it? Send me a message and I'll let you in on it]

Here is a little time waster called 'Time Capsule'.

Just put in the desired year and push the activate button and you will learn things. For instance, in 1971 the price of a gallon of gas was $.36. Also, In 1971 Billboard's top song was 'Joy to the World' by 'Three Dog Night'.

I found a site called 'Image Chef'.

Click above and you can find many different pictures that allow you to enter text into them.

Can you find Bill Gates in this picture?

Mystery Me by Gary Shrimpling from Durham in the North East of England, is a great photoblog.

He has a great eye for taking the ordinary and capturing it in a way that makes you stop and look.

These are great kites!!!

He even has some boats too!!
-------------------

I found a great Halloween themed game called 'De-Animator'.

You are this little weird guy with a gun who can't leave the graveyard.

Too bad he didn't leave the graveyard!

That's it for today.
