The Week Before Black Friday

Well, I thought I would get more blogs out this week. Last night was the science fair at the elementary school. Both my oldest daughter and my middle son won for their grades. Then we went to the church for a meeting for my oldest son. Yesterday was a great day. I hope tomorrow can be a great day as well. I hope to have one room in the basement done. I hope my cougars will win the outright conference championship. If I can also fit a nap in then I will call it a great day!

Surf's up...

I'm not sure I have related the story of the concussion I had when I was six or seven. Anyway, my friend Murray O'Dell and I were in his backyard playing on his swing set when we got the great idea that we would take the slide and hang the end onto the crossbar of the swing set. Then we got the hose and put water on the slide so we could 'water slide' across the vertical slide. I had the great idea to try and walk across the slide but I slipped off and hit my head on the leg of the swing set. I ran home crying and soon fell asleep. My mom could not wake me so my parents took me to the hospital.

Whew.... That's a lot of background to make a point.

While I was in the hospital my dad brought me some comic books. I still have them to this day. My favorite one was Amazing Spiderman #177.

Ever since then I have loved and followed comic books and their super heroes.

Anyway...

I found the new Spiderman trailer on Youtube and thought I would share.

I found a game called 'Missile Game 3D'

This is not the greatest game ever but I found it addicting as it progressed levels.

For a cool game check out 'Mink'.

This game does not really have any rules. The object is to help Mink escape from his alien abductors. Each level is presented as a separate game [on the linked page] but I had fun working through these puzzles. Don't get frustrated and make sure you click on everything [even bolts].

I have another Murray O'Dell Story for you. [I heard you groan.] Murray had a sand box in his back yard. He loved to dig holes in the dirt and then fill them with water and play in the mud. I really only liked the digging.

Our parents always told us that if we dug to deep we would come up in China. I found a website today that shows they were wrong.

We would have ended up in the India Ocean!! I'm glad we decided to stop and play on the swing set instead.

I found some great photos. The first is this picture of 'Harvest Full Moon Rise'.

I found this cool little interactive gadget called 'Make My People Sing'.

Sadly I played and listened to this thing all day long.

Here is another photo I found but I can't attribute it to a source. The URL was a dead end. I do not claim it as mine, but I wish I could.

That's all for today.
