Making up for lost time

The power went out at my house again yesterday. It happened just before I left work. But this time it apparently was not because of a squirrel. "Hooray for Rocky". Some kids went 'hiking' on the foothills on the north end of town. They lit a fire and the wind spread it up the mountainside.

The fire burned all but one of the power lines. Last night they had to shut down the power to the east bench to get the burned lines back online.

After the power came back on I worked in the basement wiring the new bedrooms and family room.

Work today has been slow so I went surfing....

I saw two or three articles referring to this 'Tropical Stonehenge' the found in brazil.

So basically those Lamanites were more advanced that they thought and somehow connected to a European culture.

I found another cool image I thought was appropriate for this time of year.

Lucky for me it was accompanied with an article about how to photograph fireworks.
------------------

This is a helmet. I thought it looked pretty cool. I'm not sure if this was used for armor or just for special occasions. It is part of a gallery I visited today.
----------------

I am fond of eagles. Not only for their power and grace but also for the things they have come to symbolize. I even know a few eagles.

This caught my eye because it was an eagle and a great picture.

Street art is another thing I have loved to blog about. But this guy, who we will call dusty, has cornered a market of his own.

His real name is Scott Wade and instead of rubbing 'Wash Me' onto the back window of a dust covered car he creates art.

I loved this combo piece of the 'Starry Night' and the 'Mona Lisa'.
-----------------

I found another cool game today.

Well I'm not so sure how cool it is. I can't get the rocket to blast off. If you can do it without cheating let me know.
---------------

Lastly I found two clips.

This first one is a combination of two of my favorite movies. 'Star Wars' and 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'. Definitely worth sharing.

The second clip is from a car show I have seen on PBS. I think it is a BBC production. Whichever the source it gives a cool glimpse at the next generation of cars that do not use fossil fuels. Educational but blog worthy.

That's all for today.
