crossovers, rovers and pics - Oh My

I don't have much to say again today. I think I want some turf with my surf....

I have previously posed about the Marvel / Soap Opera crossover. Today they released a teaser trailer for the show. All I have to say is, "Honey, It's Harley" - She's A Marvel: Special Sneak Preview.

Having watched the Guiding Light I know the 'new' super hero is a long time cast member and character who receives her powers in a 'horrifying electrical shock' from.....

.....Halloween lights?!? Hmmmm?

Her super hero name is 'Guiding Light'. [creative ain't it]. I found a comic version of the teaser as well.

Although the TV teaser doesn't show promise I may still watch so I can see the other Marvel heroes and villains who are promised to appear on the show. It all starts November 1.

I saw a cool invention that is the newest addition to my 'want list'.

This little guy is called the Firefly which turns your bottle into a lantern.

The unique lid design contains an integrated LED light which spreads a warm glow throughout the bottle. It has variable light levels so you can have a night light for stormy nights, or a reading light for enjoying your latest read; the control is at your finger tip! The electronics are in a separate sealed compartment, so there's no risk of water or juice gumming up the works! Compatible with all standard wide mouth bottles.

I also came across another comic book today called 'The Walking Dead'.

This comic begins like '28 Days Later' with the main character in a hospital after an accident. There is an online version of the first book here.

[This is the cover art for #16]

This is a neat little cross over for me. I also found this 'Cover Art Gallery' if you want to view more of the images from the series.

I admit the scariest thing I saw while surfing today was not the Guiding Light trailer or The Walking Zombie comic. It was this site that allows you to 'Calculate Your Healthy Weight'.

[Gasp, shriek, blood curdling scream!!!!!   %$@$%, !*^#?, &@@*$%]

Congratulation to the team at NASA for this astonishing achievement.

Here is a great design for a Halloween pumpkin - the 'Captain Jack O'Lantern'.

Will all of the success and millions that actors are making on TV, I found it surprising that of the 'Top Rated TV Shows of All-Time' the most recent show was the 1994 Winter Olympics.

1. M* A*S*H finale (50.15 million viewers - February 28, 1983)
2. Dallas "Who Shot JR?" episode (41.47 million - November 21, 1980)
3. Roots finale (36.38 million - January 30, 1977)
4. Super Bowl XVI, 49ers vs. Bengals (40.02 million - January 24, 1982)
5. Super Bowl XVII, Redskins vs. Dolphins (40.48 million - January 30, 1983)
6. Winter Olympics, Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding (45.69 million - February 24, 1994)

Here are the games for this week:

#19 Oklahoma @ #23 Missouri
#11 Notre Dame @ Navy
Georgia @ #9 Florida

I know, I know, I picked Utah again but they are playing UNLV, the worst team in the conference! Please don't think I am a Ute fan.
