Weak week
I have been caught in a funk!! 2007 has been a huge bust for me so far. I have built up this year in my mind. I have so many expectations and things to look forward to I think I get pre-disapointed when they appear not to be happening.
My blog has reflected my lack of passion. Poor me!!
One of the reasons I still blog on Myspace is because of the feature where people can subscribe to me and I can see who is subscribed. For a long time I could only see family members there. Then one of my longtime friends and fraternity brother subscribed. Yesterday I noticed a new subscriber from New York. It just made me think, why would someone from New York subscribe to my blog. Then it clicked, just because... Anyhow, if you have a myspace account and you read my blog you should subscribe so I can see who you are.
On with the show...
I keep a file on my computer of site I see that I can post in my blog. When I have to scroll the page I feel like I have enough content for my next post. This week has not filled my file. Maybe that's why this first post has hung around so long.
'SUV Plows Into Theater As Moviegoers Watch Dreamgirls'.
I think the reason that I posted this is because this would be my luck. I finally get out on a date with my wife and a SUV breaks through the wall and almost hits me in the head.

I have seen this new image of this dead star in several places.. 'Hubble Spies Dazzling Death of a Sunlike Star'.
It is amazing this destructive force has the ability to create so much new matter. Beautiful.

I don't think I will ever have the opportunity to visit 'Iguazú Falls'. If I were a producer of the Amazing race I would make this a stop!!!
I learned about the fall from a clip on YouTube.
The falls are located in Argentina and seems to be easily accessible if you are in those parts.

Can you tell what it means?
Apparently, the International Atomic Energy Agency felt they needed a 'New Symbol Launched to Warn Public About Radiation Dangers'. This new symbol should help reduce needless deaths and serious injuries from accidental exposure to large radioactive sources.

I really geeked out when I came across this site of 'Space and Astronomy Stamps'.
There are actually other kinds of stamps on this site but I have to show you the ones with the man on the moon.

My oldest daughter came home from school last week and said they had written thank you letters to the Ogden Police Officer [Hammond] who is credited with stopping the shooter at Trolley Square in Salt Lake.
Last weekend my wife told me that Officer Hammond was going to visit my daughters class and she (my wife) was going to write an article about it for the paper.

Officer Hammond did visit the school and the Salt Lake Tribune and AP were there to write stories as well. My wife called me right after the interview and told me this was one of her top newspaper reporting experiences. She said after he left the children the rest of the school children had lined the halls and applauded him as he left the school.
The above picture appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune and on the Stand-Examiner Internet site. My wife said Officer Hammond received letters from two classes, my daughters and a class in Texas.
